BoldlyGO's interview coaching helped me prepare for the tough questions. I wanted to answer all questions honestly, but with as much positive “spin” as possible. They helped me reframe some of my work experience in a positive, strength-focused way. BoldlyGO also helped me see the common threads in my varied jobs, so that I could present the continuity of my skills within the different work settings.

I love my new job. BoldlyGO was instrumental in helping me get clear on what types of things I wanted to do – and then develop job profiles that matched. I was stuck in a position I didn’t like, but couldn’t figure out how to get out or where to look. I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up. Once we got clear on the types of things I liked to do and wanted to do, BoldlyGO got to work.
I have been very happy with my choice – and love going to work every day – Thank You BoldlyGO!.
Life is too short to spend 8 to 10 hours a day doing anything other than what you love. Talk to BoldlyGO now and make a change. You’ll be so glad you did.

There wasn't just one service that I could point to that helped me get the job - it was definitely the combination of the job search, résumé writing, and mock interview. I knew I didn't want to continue with the same type of position I've had for the last 10 years - I wanted to grow professionally. BoldlyGO helped me analyze my skills and search for a position I would have never thought I was qualified for.
Then, the recommendations they made for my résumé helped me get my foot in the door. As for the mock-interview . . . well, I had the opportunity to talk with my boss this past week and she told me she was so impressed by my interview she was ready to hire me immediately. I strongly believe that the fact BoldlyGO helped me prepare and thoroughly think though how I would present myself and my skills helped me land the job. Working at this position for about a month, I feel that its a perfect fit!

I had been working in the same capacity for a few years and now it was time to take on new challenges! Thanks to BoldlyGO, I was able to submit a clean résumé which listed all of the skills I had learned with my current employer. Because of their advice and hard work, I am happy to say I have been offered the chance to take on new challenges with my employer. Thanks BoldlyGO!

BoldlyGO's professional consultation provided a great benefit in navigating me through a complex transition, providing sound advice on networking, goal setting, and résumé development. The feedback I have received as the result of their work on my behalf was exceptional. They also provided a professional level of accountability that advanced me forward further than I would have on my own. I cannot measure the invaluable service BoldlyGO provided.

I've been in the financial business arena for many years. In the past, I've utilized the Haldane method of finding a new position and rehearsing for the interviewing process. A couple years ago, I was also laid off due to a banking merger. The company even provided me with some professional résumé writing and coaching for interviews. None of which compared to what BoldlyGO did for me getting ready for my last job placement.
I can't thank them enough for their expertise, knowledge and professionalism in formatting my résumé as well as identifying just the right words to give it that polished look. Their helpful advice prior to my many interviews was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone in job transition or contemplating a position at a new corporation.

A Self-Directed Guide Through Career Transition
Interview Skills Coaching
With BoldlyGO, your interview coaching sessions include videotaped mock interviews that cover many of the more common interview questions asked today to identify your knowledge about the hiring company; your ability to solve problems and think creatively; your knowledge of the industry; and the time tested standards that ask about your goals, strengths and weaknesses.
Does one of these describe you?
• You have recently interviewed for a position and every time the interviewer asked you a question, you froze and couldn’t think of one clever, relevant or useful answer that would dazzle the interviewer or showcase your skills.
• You’re new to interviewing and the only stories you’ve heard about interviewing are about things called stress interviews, panel interviews, marathon interviews and seemingly unproductive interviews.
• You believe the interview begins when you’re sitting across from the interviewer.
• You have not interviewed in years, if ever, and you need update your interview skills for an upcoming interview.
• You’re shy or humble and talking about yourself feels like bragging.
There is not enough (pick one: air to breathe, antiperspirant, places to hide) to get you through an interview.
Did you know?
There are no “innocent” interview questions!
Interview questions are designed to measure your understanding about the company, position and industry, as well as these other areas:
• The real reason you left or are leaving your previous employer
• How you really feel about your (previous) employer or someone with whom you worked
• What you can do for the hiring company (not what it can do for you)
• How well you perform under pressure
• How well you interact with a variety of people and in a variety of situations
• How creative you are
• Your plans as they relate not only to your longevity with the hiring company, but what you
will do to improve yourself for the benefit of the hiring company
• Key compatibility areas including honesty and ethics and how well you work independently or with others
Interview Skills Coaching may be the answer for you!
Interview sessions, which last 60-90 minutes, include:
• A professional office atmosphere
• A videotaped session of a mock interview
• A review and discussion of your taped interview
• A coaching session on interview skills – how to answer interview questions and how to ask relevant questions of the interviewer
You’ll walk away with the skills you need to critically think about how to answer different questions and how to pull from your experience, research and knowledge of yourself to effectively answer these questions. In some cases, you may be given specific “homework” to help you refine some skills or further prepare for interviewing. As necessary, a brief discussion of appropriate interview attire may be included in the coaching session.
Preparing for an interview coaching session
In order to be prepared for an interview coaching session, review the following tips to ensure the best use of our time together and the most successful session.
• Dress for success. Pretend this coaching session is a real interview and dress as if you’re going to an interview and planning on getting the job.
• Ensure that your résumé, cover letter and a job posting/description (if applicable) has been sent to the “interviewer” with enough advance notice (48 hours preferred).
• Arrive for your session on time or even a few minutes early.
• Bring a notepad or portfolio to take notes, as well as a clean copy of your résumé.
• After a brief introduction of the session, the videotaping will begin and you must be prepared to answer the questions as if you are in a “real” interview. Following the interview, a debrief and discussion will occur.
The telephone session is $159, the in person session is $199 and the videotaped in person session is $259. Many people are satisfied with one session and feel they have the skills needed to attend interviews, while others prefer the practice that comes with multiple sessions. Subsequent sessions may discuss interview attire, include additional practice with answering questions, or serve as coaching sessions for advanced interviewing or negotiating techniques.

Mock Interview Guide
How to Create and Conduct a Mock Interview
(Book; 20 pages)
The best way to practice your interviewing skills is to record yourself in a mock interview situation. This book walks you through preparing for, setting up and debriefing a practice interview.
What do you get when you buy Career Boot Camp?
7 coaching modules covering:
• Finding your Focus: You’ll begin by completing assessments and analyzing your results. This information becomes the foundation of your career transition research. You’ll begin by researching interesting job characteristics, titles, companies and even industries, depending on your assessment findings and the “door” you elect to walk through toward your next opportunity!
• Writing your Job Description: As you continue your career transition research, you’ll identify responsibilities that interest you, job titles that intrigue you, and characteristics you require from your next employer. This module will help you bring that all together in a working job description that will serve as your guide throughout your career transition.
• Résumé Real Estate™: Writing a résumé should not be difficult. In this module, you’ll learn about maximizing every inch of your résumé page, as well as the art and science behind all of those “rules” and generally accepted principles of résumé writing.
• Networking Nuts and Bolts: Networking is probably the most critical component of the job search, especially in a challenging economy, and it’s also one that many people tend to neglect the most. Whether you just don’t know where to begin, or simply misunderstand what genuine networking is all about, this module will help you dispel the myths and develop a networking strategy that you can begin immediately and nurture forever.
• Using Social Media in your Job Search: LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter…Oh My! What are the do’s and don’ts of using social media in your job search? Which tools should you use and which should you ignore? What should you say, and who should you “fan,” “friend,” “follow,” and link to? We’ll talk about the “big 3” here and spend time on the one social media tool you MUST be on!
• Interviewing Ins and Outs: Do you know the difference between behavioral and situational interviewing? Are you ready for the demonstration interview? Do you have accomplishment-based answers prepared to WOW everyone in your next interview? This module covers all of these areas and also includes video segments where you’ll be the career coach and critique an interview candidate and offer recommendations for improvement.
• Negotiating the Offer: Talking about money is not easy and when it comes to negotiating our next salary, most of us lack the confidence to manage this conversation. Negotiating should not be an emotional process borne out of desperation or lack of knowledge. And most employers actually EXPECT some level of negotiation for many offered positions. This module will walk you through a simple process of determining your negotiable and non-negotiable requirements and help you develop a fact-based process that gets you closer to (or right on the money) your salary and benefits goals.
Each module includes key points, a PowerPoint with synced audio, and the necessary worksheets and resources to develop your career transition strategy. Also included in each module is a weekly Career Transition Journal and module checklists to help you keep track of everything you’re doing to move your search forward.
Also included are a variety of BONUS materials both in the book and on an extra CD:
• All audio files formatted in mp3 format for the professional on the go.
• Powerpoints in notes file with all companion audio files transcribed for the hearing impaired or for the individual who needs to print and go!
• Worksheets and other module resources in either PDF or Word format for extra copies or electronic management.
• A section on recommended Websites and reading to help further develop your career transition strategy.
• A list of action verbs to help ignite your thinking about how to best convey your skills and expertise both on the résumé and in the interview.
• A 20-page Mock Interview Guide to walk you through the process of setting up your own mock interview. This guide includes sample questions, a debrief exercise, and the rationale behind all the sample questions.
• Weekly Reveille. A 60 minute weekly call with a credentialed career coach.
